We have just come back from Venice, where last friday Kito Onlus has presented, in partnership with Architecture without Borders, the workshop on architecture in developing countries at the exhibition “NO_BORDERS”.
Different architectural projects, set from Haiti to Zimbabwe, Philippines and South Africa, have been displayed in the creative and artistic space of the “Magazzini del S.a.L.E.” in a visual tour for the visitors, in order to spread the message that an architecture designed for spatial inclusion and the harmony between the traditions and the functionality not only is possible, but necessary. The workshop, that has registered the intervention of our president, Paola Vecchiato, presenting the project of Kito-Health in the Philippines and the relationship between the architecture and the emergency crises, has been a moment of a valuable exchange of experiences among different organizations and experts. The workshop benefited with the presence of IUAV University’s faculties and the director of the international relations section of the Veneto Region.
In the evening, the official opening ceremony of the exhibition – that will be open everyday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. – took place and attracted many guests and curious visitors from all over the world!
If you have the chance to go to Venice, we welcome you to go visit the exhibition, there is time until the 28th of September!
