Kito Onlus just ended an interesting week end, during which it participated to two different initiatives about migrants. On January 16th, the President of Kito Onlus, as spokesperson of the Esecutivo Pace, Diritti Umani e Cooperazione Internazionale, to the delivering of 13 heaters to Casa dei Diritti Don Gallo of Padova. In the house, which was occupied by Razzismo Stop in 2013, are currently living about 60 refugees. Their situation was already a complex one, but a cut to the delivering of services such as heat and hot water had worsened it, leaving the inhabitants in the cold during the first winter’s months. The action of Architetti Senza Frontiere has represented a relevant help for the community living in via Tommaseo. The delivering of heaters took place in a significant week end, since on Sunday 17th took place the 102nd World Migrant and Refugee Day, in order to remember all those people who have died crossing the Mediterranean Sea hoping of building a better future. Our Association celebrated the event with Ass. Filipino Workers of Nothern Italy.
